Finish with finesse

“Well begun is half done,” and that’s especially true when it comes to weaving. Just as you might sample treadling sequences or test weft colors, it’s worth sampling finishing techniques and planning your edges before you even begin. After all, finishing happens at both the beginning and the end of your cloth.

Embellishments based on the hemstitch:

The hemstitch we commonly learn when we start weaving is rooted in drawn linen work. Learn to incorporate some of these antique techniques into your modern weaving.

Fabulous Fringes:

And of course, no finish is complete without a knotted or twisted fringe. We will cover adding extra yarn to your fringe and knotting techniques.
